FAQ's

  • How much will my new kitchen, laundry or bathroom renovation cost?

The exact cost of your bathroom, kitchen or laundry renovation will depend on the extent of your scope of works and your choice of fittings and fixtures. Factors which can influence your scope of work,  and therefore the cost of your renovation may include structural changes that are required, changes to existing plumbing layouts, changes to electrical positioning, tiling heights, and so on. Fitting costs are generally not included in the quote we provide as these items are based on your personal selections. You will have full flexibility and control in your choice of fittings and fixtures such as tiles, vanities, taps, toilet etc. We exclude these items from our quote as we feel this gives you greater flexibility and control over achieving your desired look within your budget - rather than being restricted by a standard stock range or set packages. However, we do provide a rough cost estimate for your fittings if required based on mid-range choices to use for your budgeting calculations.

  • Are you a licensed builder?

Yes we are. As well as being fully licensed ourselves, we only used licensed and experienced tradespeople on our projects.

  • Can I buy my own bathroom accessories, such as tiles, screens, a bath, mirror and vanity?

Yes, we understand that everybody has different budgets, preferences and looks they are trying to achieve when doing a bathroom renovation. So we want to give our customers the freedom to make the right selections for their renovation and not have to fit within “package” boundaries.

We can suggest an array of reputable companies whom we have long standing relationships with and who will spend time with you to guide you through your selections to help you achieve your desired look and functionality.

  • Can you help me create a design that will work in my home?

Definitely! Our builder Sam has years of experience in bathroom renovations and will be able to guide you on what would work best in your space. You should feel free to discuss your ideas and vision with Sam when he comes out to do your quote. It is also helpful for him to understand what currently works and does not work in your bathroom.

  • Do you offer a design service to help with layout and selections?

Design advice is part of our service to you. However, if you are really stuck or short on time and are looking for further inspiration, we can refer a selection of designers we regularly work with that can help you for a fee.

  • Do you tile over tiles?

No. We guarantee our workmanship for ten years and therefore prefer to do it right the first time. Your old tiles could be subject to movement over time, which may cause major problems down the track. Removing wall and floor tiles and linings means we can check the existing plumbing and re-sheet walls. This ensures a clean surface we can waterproof and to which we can adhere tiles.

  • Can you do more than just bathroom renovations?

Because we are professional builders (holding a current builders license) as well as bathroom specialists, our expertise and experience extends to building work of all types, from knocking down a wall or changing a window, to a kitchen renovation, laundry renovation, or an entire home renovation.

  • Does Bathroom Dynamics have the appropriate insurance?

Yes. We also hold current workers compensation, public liability and contract works insurance. As per legislative requirements we also provide homeowners’ warranty insurance for all residential work over the value of $20,000 (as stated in guarantee page)

  • Do you have references?

Yes. We can offer you the names and telephone numbers of a range of customers whom you could talk to about their experience while working with us. Take a moment to view some of our recent customer testimonials.

  • Does the person who quotes the job do the work?

Our builder Sam will meet with you, quote your job and make sure what is discussed is carried out. Our site supervisor will coordinate the day to day requirements and along with Sam will oversee the delivery of your project.

  • What areas do you service?

Bathroom Dynamics has a well established reputation within the North Shore, Eastern Suburbs and Inner City of Sydney.

  • How long will my bathroom renovation take to finish?

Most typical projects take 15 to 20 working days, however certain factors can cause renovations to take longer than anticipated. Factors such as weather and selection choices are just some examples. Cold or humid weather may mean waterproofing and rendering take longer to dry. Fully-framed screens can take three to five working days from measure, while frameless screens can take up to 10 working days. We provide you with a detailed timeline before beginning your project.
